First Snowfall/New Lens
Okay so I got a special application lens that allows you to change the aperture of the lens. It made from a company called Lensbaby. Its a well put-together lens that's easy to use. I still have to play around with it a bit, but here are some photos I took with the different apertures. Enjoy!

Its that time of year...
So its been quite a long time since I posted. Since last time I finished teacher's college, and have been slowly getting into the festive mood (even though today is Christmas). Now that Teacher's College is done, I hope to post more new work on this blog, and really expand and improve on my art portfolio.
With that being said, I want to wish you a very happy and festive holiday season! Enjoy!

Desertscape Sketch
Its been quite a long time since I posted something here. Come to think of it, its been a while since I created artwork for myself (or artwork that is post-worthy). Well I stumbled upon some cool photoshop brushes that I wanted to try out. And I thought since its been a while, I thought I post something here. Things are hectic nowadays, but through these times its comforting to know that I can always go back to creating artwork in some shape or form. Anyways, enjoy!

New Point-and-Shoot
So I decided to get a point-and-shoot for when I go to friend's events, on walks, or even when i'm traveling (whenever that will happen hehe). I'm not gonna do an in-depth review of the camera, I just wanted to post this picture cause I haven't posted in a while, and its a delicious shot....mmmmm. Anways, enjoy!

Photo Break/Swing moment
I always liked the whole bokeh effect that is used in photography. After failing to make a bokeh cover (mind you this was all in the span of say, 5 minutes), I just decided to do the old fashion way through Photoshop. Though I did like using the circles in the foreground as well. I hope to try again, making a bokeh hood. Anyways, enjoy!

An Idea That Got Lost in the Darkness
So this is an idea I had for a Contest held by Ubisoft where they would select character sketches for an Assassin's Creed Artbook, showing various Character renditions of the Assassin. I had like a Caveman- type Assassin, with a eagle skull for the hood. Unfortunately, I was really busy at the time and I couldn't enter the contest with a finished work. Ah well, just keep moving forward I guess. Anyways, enjoy!

Where Art is Born, not Made
First of all, Happy Canada Day everyone!
So a fellow colleague of mine (Samantha Rodin) is in the works of creating a non-profit organization which strives to bring about a lasting dialogue, opportunities, and artistic excellence for artists in and around York Region, just to paraphrase a little bit. Its called the Artists' Incubator and if you want to check it out, the link is on the side, or just click here. Celebrating and supporting the contemporary art, in the heart of York Region! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this Canada Day/Friday!

Sometimes its clearer in black and white
So I think i'm gonna be sticking with that scribbler site for a while. I just find my ideas to be conveyed more instantaneous when it comes to using that site. I will still use photoshop, photography, and other art mediums, but I think this type of effect or style for at least the summer and see how it goes. Anyways, enjoy!

Scribbling
So once again, stumbleupon has provided a site that I absolutely love. This time its a site that allows you to draw, but the brush/drawing utensil does a hatching effect that looks really cool when you draw the images. Now its a matter of me finding a brush/effect/feature like that in Photoshop hehe. Anways, enjoy!
ps. If you wanna check it out for yourself, the site is

Face Sketch with New Brushes
Bleach Blast
So I wanted to use an effect for this photo and I stumbled upon Bleach Blast (this is in Adobe Lightroom 3). I like how it dulled the photo, but still kept some remnants of colour. Its gives a really exposed feel to the figure, as he contemplates the path of his own mortality.. well that's how I see it hehe. Anyways, enjoy!

Handy Work/Photo Site Back Up
So I thought since I was going through a creative block, I take a stroll through sites recommended by StumbleUpon (I greatly recommend getting this, especially if your in or interested in any facet of the arts) and I found this site on origami. I thought hey, why not try it out.
So after a while I got a little bored and a little frustrated of the layout for the photo site, so I decided to change it around. If your interested the link is at the side, or just click here. Enjoy!

I Got Nothing
So I apologize for not posting anything new recently, especially in terms of paintings and drawings. Even though summer holidays are here and I means a lot more time derived to art making, I've been fresh out of ideas. I think its cause I have multiple things on my plate (like trying to get a job, organizing things, and finally kick-starting a workout plan) I haven't really found time to reflect and find inspiration or ideas that are worth putting into a canvas, or a photo, or a drawing. Well I hope to shake this creativity-block soon as June comes around.... I hope. Anyways, I hope you all are having a wonderful summer and till the next time!

Slow Rekindling
So since my school term is close to being done, I've been coming up with different things I want to accomplish. One of them being trying to be more dedicated to my art! Whether its photography, drawing, painting, or digital work, I'm really gonna make a conscious effort to be more artistic this summer! So this quick sketch is me just trying to get back into the swing of things... trying new brushes, really utilizing my wacom tablet, and just messing around. I am going to try and rekindle my passion and love for the arts this summer once again! Anyways, enjoy!
