From time to time, I try and find ways to be more creative. What seems to be a consistent medium for me is the use of cards. When possible, I try and make a card myself and do some kind of drawing or design with it. Below are some cards that I made and drew all over.
Its a really enjoyable activity and I would really recommend it to anyone, especially those who find themselves in a creative block. It doesn't even have to be for a special occasion, it could be a "just cause" kind of card. I find that I have more ideas kicking around once you make something for someone else.
The power of what a folded sheet of paper can do haha. Anyways, enjoy!

Moments Shared Together
I have been wanting to post a sample of my work from the weddings/couple photo sessions that I covered. Here are a few shots taken within the past 2 year. Hopefully more to come. Until then, enjoy!

Strollin' Through the Woods
Its been a long long while (I know) so I thought take a break from working and sketch around a bit. It was one of those "don't think, just draw" kind of things. Its interesting to see the progression of an image - going from a preliminary stage to a more refined image. Doing this also made me realise how much I missed drawing and painting, considering the evolution of an idea. Anyways, enjoy!

Fulfilling Resolutions
As the new year kicks off, one of my resolutions is to be more proactive to my artwork, whether it is drawing, painting, or photography. Though I did find 2012 to be very photography-driven for me, I think now its even more opportunistic to incorporate drawings and paintings (and digital painting) as well.
I think one approach that will help me fulfill this resolution is trying new things in my own art practice. These photos more or less represent my attempt to incorporate additional flashes into my creative photo approach. I found it to be very tedious, but interesting and fun at the same time. Would definitely want to do more.
Anyways, enjoy!
ps. Big thanks to Nick for being the model/flash victim :D

Christmas Bokeh
Been a long while, and I apologize (once again). But tis the season for festivities, and when I think of the holidays (mainly Christmas) I always think of the decorations - mainly the lights. Though the Christmas tree is always an attention-grabbing piece, it can also be used for some interesting bokeh shots (from what I have discovered). Hoping to shoot some more over this festive time. Anyways, enjoy and compliments of the season!

Update (Short & Sweet)
This past month (October) was a huge learning experience for me. I got into an internship at Bell as an Associate Photographer, so i'm learning the ins and outs of studio photography, and getting some hands-on experience as well. I'm still in the internship, hoping to really grow and diversify my photo portfolio.
In addition to that, I got my first published photobook. To follow up with the previous post with the dog, I covered a 60th Wedding Anniversary and the family was so wonderful to work with. In the end, they gave me a copy of they family photobook that I made with my client and I couldn't be more grateful. I will definitely use this in my portfolio.
Finally, I am so happy to get my copy of Assassin's Creed III. If I'm not taking photos, I'm definitely playing the game. Also I have a feeling i'll be taking more photos of this statue as well. Anyways, that's it. Enjoy!
