An Idea That Got Lost in the Darkness

So this is an idea I had for a Contest held by Ubisoft where they would select character sketches for an Assassin's Creed Artbook, showing various Character renditions of the Assassin. I had like a Caveman- type Assassin, with a eagle skull for the hood. Unfortunately, I was really busy at the time and I couldn't enter the contest with a finished work. Ah well, just keep moving forward I guess. Anyways, enjoy!

Where Art is Born, not Made

First of all, Happy Canada Day everyone!

So a fellow colleague of mine (Samantha Rodin) is in the works of creating a non-profit organization which strives to bring about a lasting dialogue, opportunities, and artistic excellence for artists in and around York Region, just to paraphrase a little bit. Its called the Artists' Incubator and if you want to check it out, the link is on the side, or just click here. Celebrating and supporting the contemporary art, in the heart of York Region! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this Canada Day/Friday!

Sometimes its clearer in black and white

So I think i'm gonna be sticking with that scribbler site for a while. I just find my ideas to be conveyed more instantaneous when it comes to using that site. I will still use photoshop, photography, and other art mediums, but I think this type of effect or style for at least the summer and see how it goes. Anyways, enjoy!

Scribbling

So once again, stumbleupon has provided a site that I absolutely love. This time its a site that allows you to draw, but the brush/drawing utensil does a hatching effect that looks really cool when you draw the images. Now its a matter of me finding a brush/effect/feature like that in Photoshop hehe. Anways, enjoy!

ps. If you wanna check it out for yourself, the site is

Face Sketch with New Brushes

So I created some new brushes and I wanted to try them out. I'll try and sketch/paint something other than a face next time. In the meantime, enjoy!

Bleach Blast

So I wanted to use an effect for this photo and I stumbled upon Bleach Blast (this is in Adobe Lightroom 3). I like how it dulled the photo, but still kept some remnants of colour. Its gives a really exposed feel to the figure, as he contemplates the path of his own mortality.. well that's how I see it hehe. Anyways, enjoy!

Another Face Sketch!

So I was just fiddlin' around with some colours and brushes and decided to put it towards a face study. I wasn't trying to portray anyone in particular, it just came out like that. Anyways, enjoy!
